Ten BASIS member companies took part in Business Match Making sessions in Amsterdam

Ten leading software and IT enabled service companies took part in 2-day long business match making sessions held in Netherlands capital Amsterdam on 21 & 22 June, 2011. These companies had business meetings with over 30 Dutch companies that include large and small IT firms of different cities of Netherlands. The match making sessions were arranged as a part of Netherlands government supported project NTFII that is managed by ITC, a UN body jointly with BASIS and DCCI. Business Development Friesland and Hawar IT provided support for arranging the business match making sessions for Bangladeshi companies.

A total of 72 meetings between Bangladeshi and Dutch companies were held during the 2 day program. All of participating companies expressed their satisfaction about the meetings and most of them expect that the meetings will lead to future business for their respective companies.

The participating BASIS member companies from Bangladesh include: Brainstation 23, SSD Tech Ltd.,Devnet Limited, ReliSource Technologies Ltd., Grameen Solutions Ltd., SW Multimedia Ltd., Hawar IT Software Services Ltd. IBACS Limited, ZANALA Bangladesh Ltd. and Pyxisnet Limited.

As a part of the session, a seminar on Bangladesh Outsourcing was also held on 21st June at Amsterdam. Speakers at the seminar discussed about outsourcing opportunities for Dutch companies in Bangladesh. Speakers at the seminar included Mr. Md. Ali Sorkar, Ambassador of Bangladesh in Netherlands, Fahim Mashroor, Senior Vice President BASIS, Martin Labbe, Project Manager from ITC for NTF II, Laszlo Klucks, Consultant CBI and Paul Tjia of GPI Consultancy, Netharlands. After the seminar, Bangladesh Ambassador inaugurated the Bangla House, the newly set-up marketing office by a group of IT companies for outsorucing to Bangladesh.
