BASIS organizes workshop on Game Development

Global games market is currently worth over USD 110 billion. Bangladeshi game developer individuals and organizations have been working towards having a piece of the pie. These developers have already designed some remarkable games that have been able to make a mark in the game AppStores. Few of those games even have a record of millions of downloads.
As the potential of the Bangladeshi gaming industry has recently been recognized to be a multimillion dollar business, BASIS has organized a workshop on Games Development titled Games Development: Opportunity for Future Bangladesh at the BASIS Auditorium on Saturday. The workshop was supported by BASIS Standing Committee on Mobile Apps, Games and VAS; and Mobile Monday.
SM Mahabub Alam, CEO, Massivestar Studio Ltd., AKM Masud, CEO, Tapstar Interactive Software Ltd. and MD Safiur Rahman, Technical Lead, Sky Taper spoke at the workshop. Speakers said, Bangladesh has a vast potential for development of Games and Games Application. Gaming industries can develop here with the available manpower and unemployed work force. Students can build their career in this gaming industry with necessary training.
The workshop addressed the prospects of games development industry in Bangladesh, basics of gaming, game development, animation, sound effect, post process and so on. The workshop was designed to give the audience a preliminary idea about games, from the idea inception to its development.
