IT Upgrade Project

The IT-Upgrade Project is regarding Know-how Transfer and Training in the area of software development and production. Funded by the Asia Invest programme of European Commission, the project is implemented by BASIS and two European partners: Bremen University of Germany which is the lead partner and Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The project initiated implementation in January 2007 and will be completed by June 2008.

One of the prime objectives of this project is to upgrade the capabilities of IT-Professionals from software companies by transferring European know-how and training methods in the area of software development and production. Two working fields have been considered thereby: System Software and Multimedia. The trained software professionals will provide their knowledge and capabilities to train other semi-professionals from companies under the coordination of BASIS after the end of this project.

The core concept of the training curriculum originates on internal working process and methodology of European software enterprises and this will ensure an easy access to European market for Bangladeshi software enterprises. All the modules of this practice-oriented and real-scenario based training course are being conducted by highly experienced software company professionals from Germany and France.
