About ICT Incubator


Introduction

Ministry of Science and Information & Communication Technology (MOSICT) set up an ICT Incubator in BSRS Bhaban, 12 Kawran Bazar, Dhaka-1215 for the development of ICT sector in Bangladesh. It was setup under the direction and budgetary allocation of the (MOSICT).

A lease agreement in this regard has been signed between Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) and Bangladesh Shilpa Rin Sangstha (BSRS) on 31st October 2002. On that very day, a Management Agreement was also signed between BCC and Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS). Under this agreement BASIS agreed to work as Management Agent (MA) for the ICT Incubator. Subsequent to this, ICT Incubator started its operation from 1st November 2002.



Criteria for Space Allocation at ICT Incubator

Software and IT Enabled Service companies are eligible to apply for space at the ICT Incubator. The applicant company must have proven record in doing business in the Software and IT Enabled Service sector and must have 5 full time programmers/IT professionals. The company must be registered in Bangladesh and majority of the share must be owned by Bangladeshi Citizen.



Rental Charges

The tenants of ICT Incubator pay Tk. 22.00 per square foot per month to BCC as cost of rental in favor of Executive Director BCC & In-charge, ICT Incubator. Generally, Lease Agreement with the tenants are made for 2 (two) years with Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) and a security deposit equivalent to 2 months rental charges are paid at the time of signing the Lease Agreement.

List of Required documents for Space Allocation at ICT Incubator

1) Trade License
2) Certificate of Incorporation (Applicable to Limited Companies only)
3) Company Profile: Brief description of products and services, organogram etc.
4) Name of the Shareholders and their Signature
5) Partnership Deed (if any)
6) Memorandum and Articles of Association (Applicable to Limited Companies only)
7) Bank Solvency Certificate in the company name
8) Proof of Nationality of Board of Directors (i.e. Passport or any valid document)
9) Business Record for Software and IT Enabled Services: (i.e. Customer Certificate)
10) Export Order, MOU, Contract etc.
11) Documentary Evidence of minimum 5 full time programmers/IT professionals
12) Proof of Export (if any)
