The Executive Council of BASIS had a whole day brainstorming session at the High Tech Park, Kaliakoir, Gazipur, on Friday, June 4, 2010. Mr. Mahboob Zaman, President, BASIS, Mr. Fahim Mashroor, Sr. Vice President, BASIS, Mr. Forkan Bin Quasem, Secretary General, BASIS, Mr. Tamzid Siddiq Spondon, Joint Secretary General, BASIS and other directors of BASIS EC were present in the meeting. The members of the committees formed for looking after the issues relating to Science & Technology Parks (STP) and High Tech Park of BASIS and an official of Bangladesh Computer Council were also present in the meeting. 

 

The objective of the session was to make an action plan to attract investments into the High Tech Park from both the local and foreign IT companies. An action plan was drafted in the meeting which will be finalized very shortly and will be shared with the stakeholders.

 

The participants of the meeting deliberated on the infrastructural issues of the High Tech Park. They discussed about the facilities and incentives of the park to be developed for the commencement and smooth operations of the park at the earliest possible time.
