Positions for Operation & Management Positions for Programs & Projects

BASIS Secretary
Responsibilities

  1. Lead the Administration of BASIS Secretariat
  2. Coordinate and ensure proper compliance on all the regulatory affairs with regard to DTO, Joint Stock and other Govt. regulatory agencies
  3. Coordinate communication of BASIS with related Govt. and non Govt. stakeholders including different ministries, govt. agencies, development agencies and others
  4. Ensure that BASIS member companies gets proper information and services from BASIS Secretariat
  5. Monitor financial management of the organization
  6. Coordinate with BASIS Executive Committee on different events and programs of the association

 

Requirements:

  1. Must have minimum Bachelors degree from a reputed University.
  2. At least 10 years of working experience in administrative role at any government organization, development agencies, private organizations or trade bodies. 
  3. Communication skill, particularly in English must be excellent. Should have good working IT skills. Must have good documentation skill.

 

Helpdesk and Member Communication Officer

Responsibilities

  1. Provide information services to BASIS members according to the service charter
  2. Communicate with BASIS members on different programs and events of the association
  3. Coordinate the delivery of different member services

 

Requirements:

  1. Female will be preferred
  2. Preferably a Business Graduate from a reputed University.
  3. Oral and written communication skill should be excellent. (English and Bangla)
  4. Must possess friendly and supporting attitude. Must be well organized 
  5. Computer handling skills (e-mail, browsing, use of office application) must be very good
  6. Few years of experience in customer support centre/call centre of any service organizations will be preferred

 

Coordinator – PR, Communication & Events

Responsibilities

  1. Media communication
  2. Maintain/update regular contents at the BASIS Web site and other online platforms 
  3. Coordinate in different events of the organization

Requirements:

    • Must have excellent public relation skills
    • Wring skill skills should be excellent. (English and Bangla)
    • Should gave few years of experience in any media (print or electronic) or experience in the role of media PR in any local or international corporate

Program Manager - Local Market Development (Corporate/SME/End User)
Major Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate different market development programs in different non government market segments including corporate, SME, NGO etc.
  2. Coordinate different events like exhibitions, road shows, roundtables, seminars
  3. Coordinate different publications like Software Product and Service Catalogue
  4. Carry out market research and survey for identifying market potentials for software industry
  5. Help member companies in their branding and promotional strategies  

Requirements:

  1. Must have minimum Bachelors degree (preferably in business management areas) from a reputed University.
  2. Few years of experience in marketing or business development areas in any IT companies or similar experience in any development agencies will be preferred (not mandatory) 
  3. Must have the right attitude to take challenges. Must be hard working and pro-active
  4. Communication skill, particularly in English must be excellent. Should have good working IT skills. Must have good documentation skill

 

 

Program Manager- International Market

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate different international market development programs of export focused software and ITES companies
  2. Coordinate different international fairs, conference and events where BASIS and its members companies are taking part
  3. Communicate with different partner organizations, embassies and other international agencies in market development activities
  4. Carry out regular market research and survey for identifying new market potentials outside the country.
  5. Help member companies in different online and offline marketing and promotional strategy   

 

Requirements:

  1. Must have minimum Bachelors degree from a reputed University. Candidates having a foreign University degree or major/specialization in International Trade or International relation (IR) will get preference 
  2. Communication skill, particularly in English must be excellent. Must have good documentation skill
  3. Few years of experience in marketing or business development areas in any export oriented companies will be preferred  
  4. Must have the right attitude to take challenges. Must be hard working and pro-active 

 

Consultant - Research & Publication

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Lead BASIS Research Cell and coordinate different research activities of the association. Research areas include, among other things- IT industry trends, policy related issue, market identification, capacity related issues (e.g. HR, Infrastructure etc.), new business models, PPP areas, e-Governance etc.
  2. Provide regular information and data input for different policy level discussions/dialogues and publications
  3. Prepare project concept paper for submission to different government agencies as well as international development organizations

 

Requirements:

  1. Should have a Masters degree from a reputed University. Candidates from subjects like Economics, Development Studies or Business Management will preference
  2. Communication and documentation skills, particularly in English must be excellent.
  3. Candidate must have excellent skills in data analysis
  4. Must have excellent skill in report writing and presentation
  5. Candidates who have experience in working for few years in any research organization will be given preference
  6. Must have the right attitude to take challenges. Must be hard working and pro-active 

 

 

Consultant – New Business Model and e-Governance 

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out focused research and development initiatives on new business models for IT companies based on experience in different local and international success models
  2. Co-ordinate with different government and development agencies (World Bank, IFC, DFID) in the ongoing activities of BASIS for designing, proposing and monitoring different e-Government services
  3. Help BASIS board in preparing and presenting policy papers with respect to the appropriate role of the ICT industry in supporting Digital Bangladesh initiatives of the different government agencies. 

 

Requirements:

  1. Should have a 4 year Bachelors/ Masters degree from a reputed University. Candidates from subjects like MIS, System Analysis will be preferred. MBA with major in Operation Management or Finance will be considered an added qualification  
  2. At least 5+ years of experience in business analysis, system design, process management role in any IT company, any multinational or any service oriented organization
  3. Very strong documentation and report writing skill
Must have the right attitude to take challenges. Must be hard working and pro-active
